Anita Roddik: founder of „The Bodyshop“, the first NGO, running its own shops and production plants. Corporate social responsibility, today on everyone’s lips, was already implemented by her in 1995. Far too early, her death on September 10, 2007 means a grievous loss not only for her relatives, but also for the entire environmental, women’s rights and human rights movement.
Once more sincere thanks shall be given to her for her shining entrepreneurial example and her struggle at the most diverse places of the world over the last decades!
Exemplary we be picked out her latest campaign for FOE. The NGO Friends of the Earth (FOE), founded by David Brower (his death on November 5, 2000 was a grievous loss too), launched the climate campaign „The big Ask“.
